A family member had heard good things about this place so we decided to try it out. Nice location, cozy size and clean inside. We ordered the chicken satay and roti as apps and the regular chicken pad thai, panang curry with crispy chicken, the royal duck, and basil fried rice with beef for entrees. We had specifically asked how many pieces came with the satay and were told four but the dish only came with three which sucked since there were four of us. The satay was very basic and the peanut sauce was a but watery. The roti was a bit oily. I wasn’t crazy for the curry it came with either, for me it was too cinnamon-y but everyone else at the table liked it. I had low expectations for dinner at this point however I was completely surprised. The entrees were all amazing. The pad thai was perfect not dry or too saucy. The duck was perfectly crispy and the tamarind sauce it came with had a great spicy kick. The curry was also nice and the crispy chicken reminded me a lot of Japanese katsu. The basil fried rice was also good and had nice real tasting beef. So although it was a rocky start I highly recommended this place.
Delicious food with great service! Fresh rolls, cashew curry, green curry, basil fried rice, drunken noodles and mango sticky rice, everything was perfect!! We ordered with level 3 spice and it was balanced!!
This is a small hole in the wall type of place which i love. I ordered chicken pad thai, shrimp fresh rolls(summer rolls) and tom kha gai soup. The summer rolls were very different from others I've had. It doesn't seem like they use butter lettuce for theirs as you can tell that they aren't very green. The peanut sauce was really thick and tasted a lot lighter than others I've had. It was okay. In terms of the tom kha soup. I feel like this is the thai version of french onion soup. Every place makes it different and some are really good and some aren't. This one was very basic. Onions regular button mushrooms, green peppers, and i think some ginger. Didn't taste any lemon grass or anything. It was still refreshing and good tasting, just not up there with some of the others I've had. The pad thai was decent, it does seem like they use tamarind paste which is traditional. The bad was it seemed pretty oily and the oil taste was pretty over powering. The boba tea was awesome! I had the brown sugar thai tea. Overall this was decent in terms of the food we had. Definitely worth a try. Thanks!
Great! I'm not used to eating spicy food. My mouth was burning she saw me from far struggling and asked, "Are you ok? But after a while, she came with pieces of pineapple and said this would help with the spicy. Now tell me, that wasn't the nicest thing ever!
This place punches way above its weight in taste and quality ingredients. I was blown away with the delicious delicate flavors or the lard nar and the perfectly crispy tofu. The coconut soup was a surprise winner with fresh veggies, white meat chicken, a little bit of heat and lime citrus in a fantastic coconut milk broth. The place is small and clean with the friendliest and attentive staff. Lunch specials were a great deal with the soup included. Kudos to the hidden gem of its easy parking!
Always great food and amazing boba tea. Usually do takeout but eating in is enjoyable with the great service. Usually quiet around the time I go for dinner. Honestly better boba milk tea than most of the boba shops around CT. Can be a tiny bit more pricey but I think it’s worth it because it has more flavorful and better spiced pad Thai. Just got pad Thai this time but I usually order a bunch of apps as well
Summary: This is the first comprehensive review for 2023! Wow, but really this isn't something crazy. I loved the food, but I wouldn't die for it. I'm giving a 4/5 because I didn't try more than one item on the menu so from what I had the opportunity to taste it was good indeed. I might come back to change this review once I have more on their menu but for now we are where we are. Location: If you don't know Windsor, then you should get to know Windsor! The town is amazing and from a resident and business standpoint. You have major travel options from trains to planes, lots of industrial, commercial, and retail companies to hire, work for, and network with. If you have any interest in making this place your home, then Windsor is one of the best townships in the state. You have a good school system, lots of single family neighborhoods, and apartments present and to be constructed as well. This restaurant is located near the train station so if you ever needed to catch one you could grab a bite here. That also includes ground travel, since the town is right next to 91, so very tourist friendly. Outside of that the interior of the restaurant is certainly a mix of modern and artistic, by that I mean it has some great abstract art on the walls. There is is a first date vibe to the place that can't be ignored! Service: The staff were great, bathrooms are open to the public and I don't believe you have to be a customer to use them. The seating was quick because it didn't appear to get very busy inside. However, they had a constant flow of pick up orders. The server that helped us out was great! He gave us everything we needed when we sat down and everything else, from placing our order to bringing out our meals was typical and there wasn't anything I could note about this process. The wait for our food was somewhere in the 20-30 minute range. This could have been a result of how many orders they had already not to mention we customized the spice level. They have a spicy meter from 1-5, for those who are wondering what it would be like, well if you can't handle sriracha then stay away from lvl 3 because it's nothing crazy but some people wouldn't be able to stomach even that level of spice! The Food: We order pad thais all around, I tried the crispy chicken, so did my significant other and our friend who came with us this time. I have had the pork pad thai before from here and it tastes great! You just have to be aware that the sizes vary from regular to one slightly smaller than that, which might be the lunch size. Either way the crispy chicken pad thai was amazing, personally It was very crispy but hard to eat because it lacked the chicken meat, it seemed like super thin breast slices were used or something like that, just a little more meat is needed to make the crunch yummy instead of fearing for my gums. The pork version was perfect for me thus I landed at a 4/5 here. Thank you every one!
